For Dog Families

Help that meets you where you are.

Keeping a dog shouldn’t depend on how much money you have. Search the directory below by ZIP, city, or filter by what you need — low-cost vet care, kibble pantries, spay/neuter help, crisis support, training, and more. Nationwide coverage with deeper local listings growing all the time.

How listings get verified

Every entry on this page has been confirmed within the last six months — either I called, emailed, or have a direct relationship with the organization. If something on this list has changed (a clinic closed, hours moved, a phone line is dead), please tell me. The directory is only useful if it’s accurate.

Share this with someone who needs it.

If this page helps one family keep their dog, it did its job. Send it to a friend, post it in your neighborhood group, or DM me on Instagram with a resource I should add.

Still Looking?

Didn’t find what you needed?

Rescues and Resources is small, and still growing — so we won’t always have the answer. But please don’t stop here. There is a wonderful, free tool that very likely will.

A bigger search, for when ours comes up short.

We would love to be everything for every dog family — but we are a small project, and our directory is still filling in. If you could not find what you needed here, it does not mean the help isn’t out there. It usually just means we haven’t catalogued it yet.

So here is where we would send a friend.

Asking for help is okay.

There is no shame in needing a hand to care for the dog you love — a hard month, an unexpected vet bill, an empty food bin. These resources exist for exactly those moments, and they are there for you.

And if you come across something we really should add, we would genuinely love to know — it is how this directory grows. You can suggest a resource here.
